The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed about the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company point made for intervention encounters a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot here more means to permit the servicing of all clients and raise access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
